Do kids nowadays ask who makes their clothes? Kids today like many of us but most of their clothes. Some of us however grew up with mothers or grandmothers who knew how to sew. We’ve seen how talented our mothers were when they designed and produced our prom dresses. Some mothers could even come up with grand Halloween costumes armed with just their sewing equipment and their creativity.

It seems actually come to think of it; as long as you have the proper sewing equipment and you know how to sew, you can come up with just about anything. The proper sewing equipment will of course include a working sewing machine. Gone are the days when sewing machines would entail a lower body workout. Sewing machines today no longer come with a foot pedal (like it did in the 60s and 70s. They are electronically intelligent machines that practically do all the work for you. If you need to sew by hand you still need a needle, thread and a thimble.
